1. Why? If he sides with the pukes, that is a mild statement that many have been saying to
ourselves for quite a while.

When (IF) he decides to stand up for Democratic principles, he will get the "respect" you seem to think he deserves.

5. I say Fuck the Senate. They voted on middle class only taxcuts on Saturday. It failed.
If there were votes in the Senate to pass middle class only, that is what we would be getting.

9. True, they could be pressuring the Senate. The Senate failed to pass House's bill for middle class
Edited on Fri Dec-10-10 09:59 AM by emulatorloo
only tax cuts.

If the Senate had passed that, that is what we would have.

20. Yes. Desperately.
Seeking to pass the buck on their own failures is a strategy, yes?

Scared spitless at facing their constituents, House Democrats look for a scapegoat.

12. Well, I take that to mean ...
... that Pres. Obama must have screwed up royally in how he dealt with the Democratic leadership in the House.

Maybe some of this is because Rahm Emanuel is gone and there isn't an experienced chief-of-staff at the White House.

But, nevertheless, when that kind of sentiment is express that tells me that Obama messed-up pretty badly.

15. I'm telling you, a black president isn't nearly as respected as a white president
Of course we knew that from those Republicans. It's been evident for a long time, but now you starting to see it from liberals. It's so sad, but there's a lot of prejudice on the left side of the aisle, just like on the right side. The only difference is that it only rears its ugly head at certain times. And this is one of them.

Mr. Obama has never been seen as an equal or a leader. Instead, he's treated like a servant that other Dems can order around.

22. Why Not?
If he goes behind closed doors, and gives away everything "Democratic" to the Republicans in what HE calls a "compromise", then releases HIS decision to The Media BEFORE even bothering to meet with the Dem Caucus......

I would be pissed too!

25. According to the reports, you are padding the story big time
You claim multiple people said this. The report was that someone thinks they heard one person mutter this. You claim plural, more than one. Show a link.
You can add me to those who would have been saying exactly that in that room. Cynical hypocrites do not get my respect, nor do those who claim my people are unworthy of equal rights because their sort is superior, Obama says straights are 'sanctified by God' and we are not. That is bullshit, and it is rotten thinking. Fuck that. Equal is equal.
