It's quite easy really.

Rep politicians don't work for the majority of their constituents. They work for the constituents with the majority of the money. That would be the top 1% of the nations earners.

They need all the funding they can get for re-elections and the rich are the ones that provide that. Giving tax breaks to the rich is not even remotely related the jobs the rich provide to the masses. It's about the jobs the rich are providing in DC. That peckerhead Rove, started up a Company (was it a PAC?) to help the Rep party candidates...a total of 3 donors supported the whole anti Dem advertising funding from his new start up, worth several millions of dollars. It's *that* group the Reps are protecting, not as a representative for the masses but for the warm lining in their own pockets.
