Bill Clinton, at the invitation of Obama, made a push for Obama's tax plan/compromise.
And Obama left him standing at the podium alone.

WTF was Bill supposed to do?

And you know, his support for the current framework, makes me think this thing, on the whole, may not be as bad as many here and elsewhere have made it seem.

At any rate, the last Democratic president left the next *president, dubya, with a budget surplus. I can still remember the repukes talking about returning the surplus to "the people" vs using it to shore up our nation's needs. Still, Bill handed over a budget surplus to bush.

That fact alone, not to mention the robust economy Clinton presided over, would lead me to think he might have a valuable perspective on our current situation.

Bottom line, if you're going to trash Bill Clinton for the press conference, you're not pointing your fingers in the right direction. He didn't force Obama to allow him to speak. He didn't force Obama to leave the stage halfway through.

Bill Clinton is a good Democrat. Stop trashing him, unless you're willing to trash Obama in the same breath.

1. It sounds like Obama was directed what to do - why not? Bush was instructed what to do...

2. Well, if Obama was "directed" what to do, then he is a poor excuse for a president.
