If he has been a cry at the drop of a hat all his life, then he is not
ill, it is just his personality. If a lot of crying has suddenly emerged,
it could be a sign of impending nervous breakdown.

My own father went through this. I never saw him cry until I was 15,
and then he entered a period when he became very emotional and started to
cry a lot. After that he came down with a serious nervous breakdown!
