what is best for the country. I will continue to get a big tax cut under Obama's capitulation and I already have health insurance for me and my family. By your logic I should vote republican. However, I do recognize how disastrous these policies are and vote on how bad they are going to make the country that my kids and grandkids will have to live in. That is the problem, republicans win because people vote for their best interest (rich) and they also pick up all of the votes of the ignorant middle class that believe their station in life will be improved.

In your situation, they are picking up the support of the scared that are unwilling to make a little sacrifice or take a risk in order to improve the country.

You are just feeding their strategy. Let me know when it gets back on the table. It won't happen for another 10 years or so.

Just a wild ass guess, but throwing millions of insurance company employees out of work to convert to single payer overnight probably isn't a good idea. Working toward single payer step by step is the way to go. I haven't heard Obama say he is satisfied and resting on his laurels, the man is still working on the problem!

Meanwhile, my son can get his asthma treated!

There is more work to be done and maybe some day all Americans will have 100% health coverage without having to buy insurance. I'd prefer my tax dollars go to socialized programs than to wars any day.
