BREAKING: RNC Chairman Michael Steele will seek re-election
By: CNN Political Producer Peter Hamby

Washington (CNN) - Michael Steele broke a weeks-long silence Monday night and announced that he will seek a second term as chairman of the Republican National Committee.

Steele revealed his intentions in a private conference call with RNC members, several of whom relayed the announcement to CNN.

9. I hope he gets it!
That way it will be the RNC chair who gets perp-walked into the Md courts for the illegal robocall tactic he used in his last campaign for Gov.

14. And when he loses, he's gonna accuse them of being racists. He already started
with his "party of Lincoln" statement.
