Washington Post-ABC News Poll
Disclaimer: I still think polls are full of shit,
but since its seems like so many take them seriously,
I'd post one that's not too bad. I'm not here to
depress Democrats, or try to make us feel like
losing is the only way we'll get anything,
cause indeed, it will be the sure way, with or without debate,
that we will lose everything.....just saying!

2. Oh yeah, this poll's worthless too.....
It always comes down to a: "compared to what/who" question doesn't it?

- I mean, comparing one's approval of Obama to Republicans right now, is like asking someone would they rather have relatively good health or cancer?

3. Wait until people get a clue that this tax plan actually undermines the safety and future of Social
Security... I don't think Obama's numbers will be looking especially good then.

7. Yes
The fringe on both sides finds some real common ground now. It's beautiful to see this bipartisanship.

13. "Fear card"? In what scenario will the payroll tax ever go up again?
It won't. And that ensures that it will go bankrupt sooner; unless the Republicans find a way to break it up for good.

Please explain how this will not be the beginning of the end to Social Security.

5. Notice the disconnect between the economy and helping the Middle Class.
As if the Middle Class are not part of the economy.

9. The poll show trends over time and in comparison to other polls...
... and THAT is how we see the big picture.

Thank you Frenchie.

11. Not great. People really trust the GOP more than Obama for the economy?
And for the federal deficit and taxes?

I find these numbers disturbing. It means that people have bought into the GOP memes. It probably does not help that much that the Democrats are following suite rather.

If the Republicans ideas are followed on these three issues, it will be a disaster comparable to the Bush economy, where the rich get richer and the poor poorer. It is the responsibility of the White House and the Democratic leadership to fight against that, starting by a better communication.

16. Compared to here.......
Yes, it is.

Cutting the President off at the knee on just about every issue,
so that we can hit him over the head,
while ignoring any positive will do that to one's numbers.

Well, maybe after Nov 2012, we won't have the Internet to argue on
if this dumbass strategy keeps up!

17. You're right. It's our fault that we're not happily going along with Obama's tax cuts for the rich.
This whole thing is so depressing.

The only thing that will keep us down after 2012 is the shitty economy. If you don't thing continuing the economic policies of George Bush and Ronald Reagan is a bad thing then I feel sorry for you.

It's nice to see that equal numbers of people think that Republicans AND Democrats can be trusted to deal with terrorism. What I find puzzling is that most people think that the Republicans can be trusted more on the federal deficit yet blame George W. Bush (and the Republicans) MORE than President Obama/Democrats for the wrecked economy?
Things that make you go, hmmmmm..........

:wtf:

As for the last part about most people seeming to think that the House switching from Democratic to Republican is a "good thing", well....................
