Democratic and Republican politicians have all gotten together and decided collectively that the war is just not worth talking about anymore. They finally agree on something!

OP: "Democratic and Republican politicians have all gotten together and decided collectively that the war is just not worth talking about anymore."

If you watched it live, what's your point (as there were Democrats talking about the war yesterday)?

7. So you think that's all there is to it? A token press report? Wow!

9. The silence on the war is deafening, but I'm glad you think a token press conference
means we're spending as much energy talking about the war as we ever did. To each their own I guess.

11. There has been no silence on the war
the President was in Afghanistan a couple of weeks ago, the war was much talked about. The defense budget is being debated.

13. Gimme a break. All the politicians have joined hands with the media
to convince the sheep that the only thing worth talking about is the economy. The pocketbook is their main focus while the war has been put on the back burner.

14. "to convince the sheep that the only thing worth talking about is the economy."
Really?

There is a concerted effort to focus on the economy and not the war?

Really?

You think people are going to forget that we're at war?

Haven't there been recent (this week) polls showing growing dissatisfaction with the Afghanistan war?

15. "You think people are going to forget that we're at war?"
What you should be asking is, "You think people are going to care that we're at war?"

They don't seem to care. That's my point.

12. The Democrats
ball's are still sore from last month.
People need to wake up and realize this is a "dead center" country.
Those "idealist" that are pissing and moaning truly do not understand politics.
I have been a BLUE DOG DEMOCRAT for years, and have grown seriously tired of the party pandering a minority group within it's ranks.
The American voter grew tired of this pandering, and demonstrated their frustration last November.
My biggest fear is that it will happen again in two years. (I'm willing to bet money on it)
