Edited on Sat Dec-18-10 12:45 PM by flpoljunkie
Just reported. Evidently the Republicans decided to not require the 30 hours after cloture for further debate.

3. Whoa whoa whoa!! I was prepared for 30 hours of GOP delay. They realize the futility of their ways.

Wonder if AF1 will be delaying its takeoff so Obama can make a statement when the final vote is in?

12. That was the cloture vote, to end "debate."
Not real debate, of course, but fake Senate debate, the de facto filibuster. Cloture needed 60 votes, we got 63. Now it's down to the final passage vote, which is a simple majority.
