They vote with the highest percentage of any group. Enough said.

1. You got that right!
I'm in that group, and I'm plenty pissed off!

I never miss an election either.

5. It doesn't matter to the vast majority of them if we are pissed or not.
It really doesn't. 90% of these air bags don't even care if they get re-elected, they are set for life.

The only votes they care about come from the top 1%.

6. I agree, but the Medicare premiums might have been so high they would
be mad no matter what.

When the government spends trillions without a thought on banks and the wealthy, but insists on "revenue neutral" plans on anything dealing with the rest of us you just have to figure they werent going to cut the 55-64 age group any breaks on the cost.

8. I am close 53 1/2 and very angry
my husband is 60 and madder than me. The way I feel now though is I don't trust any leaders. They are all empty shells that care more about power and money than helping anyone.

They say the pretty words to get elected then when you need a bill to help us regular folks forget it.

14. Actually I think Joe is just being mean and petty and looking for any way
to get back at those who helped Lamont. He supported Medicare buy-in as recently at 2 months ago (the video has been circulating) It was something he talked about in his last campaign. The CT HMOs don't oppose the idea.

23. NOT IN MY EXPERIENCE!

I'm nearly 60, and I work and I haven't had group health insurance since effing 1993.

I know people who're in the same boat.

I don't know where you're from, but "Working" and "Having health insurance" aren't the same thing any more in my neck of the woods.

I work at a state agency and 50% of the employees are part-time, no effing benes.

We really need Medicare too, same as those retired folks you're talking about.

26. In my 35 years of holding full time jobs, always had employer
sponsored health insurance. But my full sympathies to people such as
you who are not covered.

I also want you to know that medicare is not free. First you have the
monthly deduction of $100 and then there are deductibles every year.

34. I know it isn't free; my mother told me ages ago you had to pay for it.

"In my 35 years of holding full time jobs, always had employer
sponsored health insurance."

Lucky you.

And I know lots of people, like myself, who work but don't have health insurance.

Not only me, but my 2 siblings haven't had it through employers for years (self-employed) as well as a brother-in-law (self-employed also). He's old enough for Medicare now.

There have never been a people who more love unearned privilege and making other people pay for stuff like a baby Boomer. They will vote us out if we do not appease them.
