of her shows leading up to the final vote worth a view (and how wrong she was and gladly admitted it).

At 92nd Street Y (YMCA, I presume).

7. Loved it when Taibbi
said that Republican obstructionism is morally lower than pimping.

'Strue.

If only there were 10 Rachels - Fox would not have a chance.

... but that whole "journalistic integrity" thing may prevent that from happening.

11. The amazing part of that segment she opened with.....
.... is that she showed clips where she was (in her own words) "wrong."

Takes a big person to do that.

That Rachel Maddow ..... I like her! ;)

13. Yes, but I hope we learn a lesson from it
I like Rachel, too--it's hard not to. She's smart as a whip. But all this doubt and negativity and dark predictions ... will we learn to have more faith next time, even as we work hard to push for things? The two are not mutually exclusive.

The WH kept saying, "this will happen; this will happen by the end of this year." I believed them (though of course remained fearful of obstructionism from Republicans or weak-kneeism from Democrats). But even though I believed the president, I worked hard to make phone calls and sign petitions, and bug the heck out of Mark Kirk's office, and so forth.

Already we have sky-is-falling predictions of what dastardly evil, or at least bone-crushing disappointment, the president will deliver next. Oh noes, he will decimate Social Security! He will give our Intertubes to the corporations! Or, as Huffington Post so elegantly hyperbolizes, America is a Third World Nation!

I hope we learn to fight and support at the same time. To trust with constructive skepticism about full success.

17. 92nd Street Y = Young Men's Hebrew Association
Actually, I think it's officially the Young Men's and Young Women's Hebrew Association -- but that name went out of style back whenever it was that Jews stopped being called "Hebrews."

I went to day camp there a couple of summers when I was 12-13. Very hip, very intellectual, very New York. Well known for poetry readings and stuff like that.

She went from newbie to best interviewer on the tv box in record time.

I would LOVE to see her run for office.

Rachel to ONCE AGAIN admit she was "spectacularly wrong".
