Manchin Apologizes for Missing Votes
Manchin Apologizes for Missing Votes

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) apologized for missing two key votes over the weekend while attending a Christmas party, according to West Virginia Metro News.

Said Manchin: "Let me apologize to anybody and everybody within our listening and reading areas. I'm very sorry for missing the two votes... In the future, I will make any adjustments and all adjustments that need to be made so that it doesn't happen again."

1. Apology will not be accepted UNLESS

You turn completely progressive.

That means, for your sake:

Ending your stance on abortion
Ending your stance on coal
Ending your stance on all Republican matters. They are all to be rejected.

You need to believe that you ARE to the left of Bernie Sanders.

That's what a true-blue Democrat is. Bernie is the marker (Wellstone was a perfect marker), and anything right is unacceptable.

3. I can't understand what he was thinking by doing this
he has managed to piss off everyone. He would have been better off just voting and getting it over with.

4. I know
cos I dont think anyone buys his excuse which will surely be used as an attack ad next time he runs for office. People respect principled position even when they disagree with it

5. It is especially dumb in this case
his actions were a no since we needed 60 votes no matter how many voted. So he has pissed of our side no matter what, now he doesn't even get the benefit of having done so.

8. While apologizing, he should've said which way he would've voted if he "could've" been there.
