Read carefully: I don't say that he DID say that he ate dog as a child. My problem is with a poster who firmly, incontrovertibly KNOWS that he never said such a thing. I'm just providing the article that was probably the source of the thread-starter's post.

Unless I'm mistaken Kosher laws include rules for HOW animals are slaughtered to minimize the suffering of the animal. We have a long history of trying to be humane to animals that we are going to eat.

Like calling their dogs their children. And I'm suppose to think that they just love their pet sooooo much. Actually, I think they are being very disrespectful to their pets. They are basically saying...you aren't enough as a dog, I have to pretend you are human in order to give you value.

People who really love their pets allow them to be animals and respect them for that. People who love their dogs don't sign their names on christmas cards. As if I can't possibly love a dog unless he wishes me a Merry Christmas!
