Obama to Extend Hawaiian Vacation

HONOLULU--President Barack Obama won't be returning to Washington until Jan. 4, extending his Hawaiian vacation by about a day after it was delayed by a busy lame-duck Congressional session.

"After the extended lame duck and five-day delay of his trip here, he's just trying to squeeze in more time with his family before returning to Washington," Deputy Press Secretary Bill Burton said Wednesday.

Mr. Obama is vacationing in Kailua, Hawaii, and has spent much of his free time working out, playing basketball, snorkeling, spending time with family, and swinging golf clubs. He has played golf several times since he landed in Hawaii just before Christmas, enough for some to see an improvement in his game.

The president was supposed to leave Jan. 2 but now will leave in the evening on Jan. 3, arriving in Washington on the afternoon of the 4th.

15. A friend who is a Palin fan told me he wasn't qualified

because he grew up in Hawaii he was "out of touch" with the concerns of the American people, since it is sooo different from the rest of the US. She knows this because she was stationed there briefly (and I think she got the notion from Going Rogue). oh and the natives hate non natives and will try to kill you if you go hiking. So Obama really hates "real Americans" deep down.

So not looking forward to her getting her hands on that new book.

that the vacation was really not a vacation; he went there to ensure that the Governor (that has known PRESIDENT Obama since birth) would not release his birth certificate.

I kid you not ... I could never think at that level of conspiracydom.

But on another note, as a sometime/would be golfer, I have to say ...

PRESIDENT Obama has one ugly swing ... if he'd work on getting off his left side, he'd get 20-30 yards on each club and get rid of that slice that I'm sure he has.
