Clueless Grover! Says "Ryan Medicare plan gives 'control' to citizens."
Let's hope Ryan and the Republicans heed your advice, Grover! Ryan's Medicare plan shifts the cost of voucherized Medicare to seniors. It will cost the government less, of course, which Grover loves, but the costs of medical care and out of pocket costs for seniors will skyrocket!

Grover Norquist

President of Americans for Tax Reform :

The Democrats’ plan for Medicare is to watch the plan go bankrupt as spending careens out of control.

The Ryan plan gives control to citizens and avoids the crack-up Obama's policies create.

When the debate is between Ryan and Obama -- Ryan wins.

If the debate is between Ryan and the fantasy that all is well, then the fantasy can win.

The more America focuses on this, the better off Republicans will be.

2. They always say words like control, freedom to choose, etc
It's BS. We've had the ability to choose different health care plans for decades and insurers never figured out how to provide affordable health care. They would collect premiums for years and then drop people when they needed coverage the most. That's why medical costs were one of the biggest reasons for personal bankruptcy. People want health care guaranteed at a price that doesn't bankrupt their family. How difficult is that for Republicans to understand?

11. Oddly enough, to the Republicans, things like "control" and "freedom to choose"
NEVER EVER extends to things like reproductive freedom or the right to marry the person you truly love (if the person you love happens to be of the same gender)- among other things. And they always fail to acknowledge/notice the abject hypocrisy of their position. :eyes: :puke:

5. He's detached from all reality.
What will the premium be for, say a 67 year old person with a history of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and hypertension?

He'll be free to choose, all right...death, because there is no way he'll afford to pay the additional premiums out-of-pocket, even after he gets his 'voucher'.

6. Whenever repugs talk about 'choices' or 'flexibility'
watch out. "Control", that's a new one.
