400 days isn't very long if you stop to think about it.

2. Yeah, whatever.
I'm not going to waste the next 400 days arguing with anyone here at DU about it.

3. Instead of arguing about it why not just wait until after the election happens
so you will know who won? This far out from the election it's silly to argue over who will win because nobody knows who will win, not even the candidates themselves. So why argue about it?

5. I already know Obama is going to be re-elected, but that's not my point.
I have other candidates running for other offices that need to get elected, too.
And this is not a gathering point for their supporters.
There's not much time until the spring primaries are held.

6. find a good down ticket race folks.
one of my local democrats is running for the water reclamation district. one or two committed volunteers can make a big difference in these small races, and this is where tomorrows senators and congressmen come from.
don't know about you, but petitions have to be done by december here.

24. Does it take balls to say for sure who you know will win in a year and a month?
You may be right, but I have no idea yet. :)

7. Luckily, you don't get to choose for everybody. You can throw your vote in the garbage if you like.
But don't expect the rest of us to follow suit.

12. Here's hoping you live in CA or HI
That way your non-vote will be more of a non-issue.

21. I think you may be right, but not for the same reasons. I believe
that Obama's reelection may be in peril because of the following:

1 - Democratic voter apathy. There are many Democrats who are just tired of the way things are going and believe that Obama squandered his opportunities when he was elected with a landslide. This may translate into a less than normal amount of these voters actually casting their ballots.
2 - Rethug engineered vote intimidation and suppression. We daily see and hear example of how the Rethugs are following a carefully thought out plan to suppress Democratic votes. This many translate into many seniors, low-income people, people without government-issued ID's and students not being able to vote. These were some of Obama's strongest constituencies in 2008.
3 - Tampering with the ballots. Aside from all the examples of how easy it is to tamper with voting machines that are specifically designed not to leave a paper trace, we have seen questionable elections ever since 2010. Strangely, these anomalous results always seem to result in a Repub being elected, never the Democrat.

Combining these factors, along with the fact that some strategic states for the Electoral College are or may be in play (see Pennsylvania's plan to change PA from a "winner take all" to a proportional allocation of Electoral College votes, it strikes me as a plausible scenario whereby Obama could lose his re-election bid.

8. I'm thinking he's going to get that second term
That the recs are up, but the naysayers are out in full force is a joke here on DU.

Sick of those that would work so hard for Promoting and Obama loss yet fail to acknowledge who they would hand the election to should that happen. I will NEVER EVER do anything to hand this election to the Reps....I'm not sure the same can be said for several posters on this thread.

9. No better time than now to start prepairing for voter fraud.
I'm serious. I can't think of an election where they have/would be trying so hard to pull the wool over our eyes.

13. After all the nonstop hyperventilating over the GOP nutbar candidates,
it'll be nice to see Obama/Biden, along with FLOTUS and Dr. Biden, kick into REAL campaign mode to offset the crazy and the MSM butt-kissing of the crazy.

FUD crowd ramp themselves into hysterics beforehand; their delusions amuse me.

I cannot wait to help re-elect this man.

20. Too bad we won't be re-electing a DEMOCRAT.
But yeah, he's better than the alternative. So I'll hold my nose and vote for him. But I'm in KY, a blue state, so it won't matter anyway. Aren't you thrilled?

I know I'm not.

23. Well since Fat Boy said he isn't going to join the race, he won't be schackled either.
I was really hoping he would jump in and cannonball all of the water out of their shallow pool.

I've still got my hopes up to see Sister Sarah come to save us all though.
Just like John McCain, I've got my lucky feather and all my lucky stones arranged under my pillow in order to get her in the race and "get r' done".

LoL
