Governor Deval Patrick (MA) is so cool

Watching him on the Emily Rooney show right now. What a smart, down to earth and HANDSOME man.... He would be a great presidential contender
in 2016. :-)

On edit: you could see his excitement (glee?) about Elizabeth Warren.

1. He is, but ...
I'm afraid that around these parts, people would think Obama seems like Che Guevara. He would be seen as "Mr. Corporate," having worked for Texaco, Coca Cola, and served on quite a few corporate boards. Given the current climate, he would be automatically ruled out.

He's a good guy, and very brilliant and compelling. But I wouldn't wish the presidency on him.

2. Like I said 2016

and he obviously likes Elizabeth Warren. Having a corporate backround doesn't necessarily make someone "corporate".

I'm saying the Jacobins will not accept him.

9. I know what you meant :)

I was just saying that 2016 is a long ways away- in politics- and he could be a great contender on a national level.

3. He's been a meh Governor
No huge fuckups besides not fighting legalization of casinos, but no vision.

5. I agree with you for once (on the casino thing)

and I'm happy that I was a resident of Massachusetts when we banned dog racing.

But he is really cool.

I missed it. Grr, but my husband saw it and told me that he basically dissed Brown. I am sure he wants him gone.
