I'm thinking that each age group has its own idea of liberalism (depending if they came of age during Kennedy/Johnson, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, or Bush), so may have different opinions of Obama because of that.

I was a rabid supporter of The President. His actions since taking office have turned me against Prez. Obama.

I want him to face a number of primary contenders; I want him to answer why every "stimulus" bill he passes has hundreds of millions in tax cuts for the rich and for corporations (including his current "jobs" bill). I want him to answer why he bailed out the banks lightning fast and gave them access to $16 Trillion in almost zero interest and unlimited lines of credit while doing not one single damn thing to help good hard working families keep their homes.

If I am not mistaken, Obama has given far more tax credits to the rich than ANY previous president. I want him to answer why.

What is a "strong supporter?" Is your question "are you gonna vote for this guy," which is the only "support" that matters? I'm sure there are a lot of people, of many different ages, who are far from "strong supporters" but are going to vote for him anyway.

And as already mentioned, "don't support him any more/never have supported him" is two distinct categories in one.

... But, most polls are subjective. For instance, Do you support Obama? What does support mean? Are you a liberal? What does liberal mean? I figure that if each age group interprets the poll with equal inconsistency, then the poll results will mean something. If you want a scientific poll, then DU is not a good place for any poll, since it only polls DU members, the demographics of whom we can only speculate on. Also, I wasn't trying to find out if people are going to vote for him. That wasn't the point. If that's what you're looking for, post your own poll.

But I then became an Obama supporter when Kucinich dropped out. But I can become a strong Obama supporter if he decides to do the right thing for the people like ending the wars and taking a chain saw to the defense budget.
