Herman Cain steps up attacks on Occupy Wall Street protests

Herman Cain steps up attacks on Occupy Wall Street protests

By James Oliphant

Republican presidential contender Herman Cain amplified his criticism Sunday of the growing Occupy Wall Street movement, calling the protestors “jealous’ Americans who "play the victim card” and want to “take somebody else’s” Cadillac.

Cain’s remarks, on CBS’ "Face the Nation," came amidst an escalating war of words between Republicans and Democrats over the merits of the movement, which has spread from New York to other cities across the nation, including Washington and Los Angeles.

<...>

On CBS, Cain suggested that the rallies had been organized by labor unions to serve as a “distraction so that many people won’t focus on the failed policies of the Obama administration.”

The banking and financial services industries aren’t responsible for those policies, Cain said. “To protest Wall Street and the bankers is basically saying you’re anti-capitalism,” he said.

3. CBS radio news used Cain's comments as an "update" on OWS
They let his "I don't have the facts to back this up" opinion define what the occupation is about. Not really a news update. That was pathetic, CBS.

4. Just goes to show one can have a first-rate education and still be an idiot.
Every time Cain speaks you can tell he's a 'numbers' guy, and has no clue about much of anything else.

5. His true nature is beginning to show
Funny. I think that's going to happen a lot with OWS. They're presence will bring out the utter self-centered worldview. It's all about them. There is no sympathy or empathy because those people are the enemy who would stab you in the back the minute you turn it to them.

7. Every time Herman Cain opens his mouth
it proves what we already know, that he is a Republican valet. He is doing what is expected of him. Didn't you hear him discuss an excerpt from his book.He doesn't want to make trouble. He just wants to go along. He was happy to sit at the back of the bus. While advancing himself to the benefits of going along. And it is because of those who didn't, he enjoys the privileges he does now. He had the nerves to spout off all his so-called accomplishments at the Value Voters Summit, listening to him all I could think of is how so many gave their life for the very things he is so diligent in patting himself on the back for. remember he wrote in his book that It (meaning the civil rights movement) didn't have an impact on him. In my opinion he could have really cared less.
It doesn't matter all republicans know that it pays extremely well to do republican bidding. But while everyone is getting mad at Old Hermie they already know he will NEVER be the Republican nominee for President. They would choose a Mormon first.lol
