Poll question: Who do you want to be the Republican nominee?
So out of the group we see at the debates regularly, which one would you like to see as the Republican nominee? And if you'd like, you are welcome to also state your reason for that.

1. As a bay stater who thinks he's got a better feel for Mitt than the country at large
It's always been Romney. Yeah Bachmann would be even easier to beat and a more hilarious one at that, but she isn't in contention anymore.

3. Agreed
The rest is simply part of the stage craft and folks looking for a number 2 slot.

5. I wasn't saying Romney is going to be the nominee. He's who I want to be

I will never underestimate the Southern / WASP establishment, the Tea Party and many idiots who overlap them all.

11. However,
I believe the money folks have already picked Mitt and what we are seeing is simply "the show". It all comes down to follow the money and he seems to have a boatload of it.

4. It's going to be Romney, it was always going to be Romney.
But one of the crazier ones running getting the nomination would make for some awesome debates with President Obama; they would not be able to contain their insanity one bit.

Herb Cain would be hilarious, Bachmann would be scary, Paul would be his regular goofy-ass self, Santorum would speak in tongues, Huntsman would give the president a run for his money...Perry would poop his pants.

6. Obama
He and our party would both be better served.

He by finally coming out, the party by no longer having cognitive dissonance.

The real question: Who do we want to be the Democratic Nominee?

9. Mitt Romney
Because I think Obama will win despite whom the nominee is. But if we were to have a GOP President, I think we would have the most luck with Mitt Romney, who may be able to be influenced by a Democratic Congress.

The others? They are just disgusting right-wing ideologues.

10. Rick Perry. It will be the 'Northeast' Republicans against 'Southern' Republicans.
Bring it on!
