Is America this stupid to elect any one of these idiots?
I mean really. Perry wants to drill for oil and coal to save the economy? Does he think we are all Texas? Mittens wants to immediately abolish the health care plan he practically created? Cain wants people to use his facts and not anyone else's since he's the one who has his 9 9 9 plan right? This is like a cartoon.

Please tell me that the majority of Americans will see through these caricatures of candidates.

2. Many voters refuse to pay enough attention to connect the dots...
...and many other voters will be disenfranchised - so yes, it's possible that one of those idiots will be elected.

3. I know - between all of those factors and rigged machines, without a landslide we are screwed.
We'd better hope that the Obama machine (which brilliantly beat the Clinton machine), is geared up to do their thing again-- and we all need to commit to working our butts off again. It's terrifying.

6. The Obama machine is not as smart as they need to be.
Obama is already having to work himself into exhaustion, and we still have 13 more months to go.

10. They voted for Bush and the supreme court gave it to him
and they sure as fuck were fine with it. President Mittens, President 2.0 GPA and President Pizza are sure not out of the realm of possibility.

if they are so confused by the economic situation that they vote for the red team out of frustration and nothing else.

Remember a huge number of voters are essentially ignorant of the issues and vote "popularity" or "vote out the party in power 'cause the economy is bad."

13. Is this a trick quesiton?
I thought that this KFC bacon and cheese sandwich with deep fried chicken substituting as bread was a very funny parody of American fast food.

Not only wasn't it laughed off the menu you can buy it a few miles from your home.

YES!

Sadly.

From Reagan on, rational people have been asking this question.

We have yet to set the bar low enough.

Maybe this time...

18. I'm not counting Bush since he really didn't win any presidential election. But they were stupid
enough to elect Reagan. I know that was 30 years ago and the electorate is different today. But I would have to answer yes to your question.

20. Florida - a large and important swing state elected RICK SCOTT GOVERNOR!
I assume nothing about what people would do - especially when we have a concerted, country-wide, Republican operation to suppress and disenfranchise Democratic voters.

Usually not pessimistic but I think we make a big mistake if we assume people will know enough or be smart enough, etc. to not elect one of these buffoons - especially when they will have the unlimited, undisclosed billions of dollars of the Koch brothers & Wall Street/Corporate assholes buying every available piece of advertising time available which they will fill with smears, distortions and flat-out lies about the President.

Though of course the debacle called the election of 2000 was likie something out of a third-world country.
