Even if you are disappointed in Obama......
And I have been and still am disappointed in some areas.

But after seeing these idiot GOP candidates for president I am SO glad we have Obama to vote for.

And Obama is so much damn smarter than any of those idiots.

The only intelligent non-insane (relativity) GOP candidate is Huntsman and he is polling at 2%.

I might not be happy with Obama but for any real liberal or real progressive there is no other choice this election than voting for Obama.

4. The problem is, SOMEONE is going to occupy the White House.
It won't be held open because people aren't overjoyed about their options.

It's so basic to me I'm boggled by the fact that it still doesn't matter to some people.

40. Many are pissed at him because he didn't address their pet peeve, so they'll just sit
this election out.I'm referring to some, here, on DU. They are the same type, who, in 2000, voted for Nader for the same reason. Some say its the worse of two evils. That's quite a statement coming from so-called Liberals and "progressives." Maybe they should vote republican and they might get a chance to, really, see how their concerns are addressed.

3. voting for the lesser of two evils
is no longer option as far as I am concerned. Right now, I'm not sure that I will be casting a vote for president in 2012.

For any real liberal/progressive, there is a choice.

Yeah, it makes as much sense as your illogical post. Voting for evil is evil, be it lesser or greater. Voting for incompetence and corruption is still a vote for failure be it lesser or greater.

Blaming Rethuglicans for "stopping Obama" is to give Obama a pass because he's weak. Not voting for weakness is not a vote for Rethuglicans.

57. If you're not in a "swing state" I suppose it is OK not to vote for President.
However if you are in a state where Obama won narrowly last time - e.g. North Carolina - you might want to get out and vote for Obama.

Yes, I *do* have my gripes with Obama. However I have many more gripes with the GOP. The Democratic candidate for President of the United States in 2012 is Barack Hussein Obama II. There is no primary. There will be no primary. The only way I can see that someone else becomes the Democratic Party nominee for President is if Obama were to pass away (and I don't wish death on anyone, just to make crystal clear).

Call it tactical voting. I suppose it does follow the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" argument.

So if you are in a state where a vote for Obama will definitely be a wasted vote then please, go ahead and vote for someone else. If there will be enough votes from everyone else to allow you to vote your conscience, then again, go ahead. However if it is a close race...

please hold your nose and vote for Obama.

EOM.

22. I wonder if anyone will take you up on that.
Frankly, I don't want to get into it. But the US has a very shaky ethical record related to the incestuous relationship between government and industry resulting in sacrificing freedom, justice, health, and happiness for the pursuit of power and profit. Obama does not deserve to be singled out, but he too is an active participant in the promotion of these policies.

That said, if one's choices are so limited, there is logic in opting for what seems to be "not as bad."

46. Personally, I think
what he did to the country of Libya was evil. It was a civil war that needed to be settled internally, instead Obama and his NATO friends pumped tons of ammunition(depleted uranium included) into that country to support the rebels who could not stand so much socialist policies of Gaddafi

At the moment, their infrastructure has been bombed into the stone age, some cities have sustain so much damage that it would take decades before it can accommodate any life. Imagine some country descending on the US during the civil war and started attacking Lincoln and the Union army because they believed he was heavy handed in his engagement with the confederates?

I don't this might not be popular here but what he did to that country was evil.

36. Lets hope! Nader could co-opt the movement...
and that would be just enough to tip the scales in favor of whatever NUT the GOP picks!

I know most of OWS would vote Democratic but the last thing we need is a Left 3rd party candidate like Nader jumping in & handing the election to the GOP like in 2000!

Sorry but I will never forget what that did to our country, ever! And to see it happen again would be...(loss for words just thinking about it)

They have no love for the Democrats and they will not be co-opted by the Democrats. The administration should be embarrassed that this is happening under their watch. This is a repudiation of their right-wing policies.
