Warren dubbed 'Matriarch of Mayhem' & a leader of OWS by Mass. GOP
By Josh Lederman - 10/27/11 12:58 PM ET
Republicans in Massachusetts stepped up their efforts to stain Elizabeth Warren with the baggage of Occupy Wall Street, dubbing her the "matriach of mayhem" and releasing a web video interspersing footage of Warren with protesters being arrested and making radical remarks.

The video's release on Thursday comes two days after Warren said she laid the intellectual groundwork for the movement, and amid uncertainty about whether the affiliation with Occupy Wall Street will help or hurt Warren and other Democrats in 2012.

Certainly the most stupid video ever. Liz Warren is not a communist and selecting a few people who say outrageous things does not make it so. But we always knew that they would use her as a fundraising tool. And they do.
And Warrem clarifies

In an interview posted on The Daily Beast website, Warren had said she "created much of the intellectual foundation" for the demonstrators.

Republicans criticized her for the remark, pointing to arrests of some protesters in Boston and other cities.

Warren said Thursday that protesters must follow the law. She also said she's been advised to choose her words more carefully.
...

Well, the GOP is trying to paint her as the big bad wolf. Not sure it will work, though.

1. The Republicans have good reason to be afraid. Elizabeth Warren is smart, charismatic,
articulate, economically liberal, and has lots of fans.

2. She should embrace the label.
Massachusetts supports the OWS movements, no matter what the Herald will tell you.

And they're attacking her because they're afraid of her.

4. I doubt that image can really hold
She is a respected Harvard professor and a Republican into her 40s.
