President Obama deemed 'fit for duty'
Edited on Mon Oct-31-11 06:14 PM by Tx4obama
President Barack Obama is “fit for duty,” his physician said Monday after examining the commander-in-chief for the second time since he moved into the White House nearly three years ago.

Obama, who turned 50 in August, is taking “daily steps to good health,” physician to the president chief White House physician Jeffrey C. Kuhlman said in a memo to press secretary Jay Carney.

Obama, the doctor said, is “tobacco free,” “physically active,” “eats a healthy diet,” “stays at a healthy weight” and “on occasion drinks alcohol in moderation.”

In all, Obama is “in excellent health and ‘fit for duty,’” Kuhlman said. “All clinical data indicate he will remain so for the duration of his presidency.” The president is also “fit at 50” and “staying healthy at 50+,” the physician said.

The physical was performed at the White House last week with the assistance of consultants from the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

1. Good to hear.
I really can't envision any of the GOP candidates maintaining the schedule and level of activities the President does.

2. I want to see the original, long-form doctor's report.
Kuhlman... sounds like a Kenyan last name to me!

5. “tobacco free,” ...
good for him. I am a smoker, and know just how hard it is to get away from it. Glad he got the monkey slayed.
