I posted this article on a beef recall and much to my dismay saw it being hijacked, as you can see. I made a comment yesterday evening about "being letdown" regarding the direction the thread had taken. Much to my surprise, my response was deleted, as well as comments that were non-derogatory from other members.
Thread in question:
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=102x4678504What qualifies as "disruptive behavior?"
(as per rule #2: Disruptive and likely to derail an otherwise thoughtful discussion.)
Were the 25+ posts disruptive and did they derail the thoughtful conversation? I'd say, without a doubt.
Rule #2 would apply, correct? I've alerted twice to no avail and am tempted to just ask the mods to lock this thread already.
I posted this article to alert other members who may have this item in their freezers and never expected this outcome. Is this acceptable? What actions can be taken to prevent this from happening in the future?
Thanks.
