13. And I would have followed that with hunter
then farmer. After agricultural surpluses made larger societies possible, then religious leaders were needed to keep the people in line, to sacrifice for the "greater good".

16. Only slightly off
Usually the con-artist in question(high priest) says "I speak for this guy in the statue here, and don't you even THINK of questioning what HE says(through me)."

I love what Carlin had to say about it:

"Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man living in the sky who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time!

But He loves you. He loves you, and He needs money!"

19. Isn't it odd that we are the only species that seems
to practice religion. Is it because the other species aren't smart enough to? Or, maybe they know better.
