"Enhanced interrogation"? NO. NO. NO.
It's torture. Jesus H. Christ, we've become a nation of euphemisms. "Well, what my oppenent just said is not really factual." WTF ever happened to, "My opponent is LYING"? Why is Liz Cheney being treated as a "commentator" on This Week instead of the goddamn shill she really is?

:puke:

1. The "soft" language was begun in the 1970s I believe. Since

then it has drastically expanded to cover anything that might be construed as truth telling in any distinct terms.
Must NOT hurt anyone's feelings by calling a spade a spade.

2. "That is NOT acceptable, Jeremy!"
In my generation, whack upside the head.

9. Yup, no matter how many friends were standing there. If you
needed it you got it. You didn't see many of our generation running around killing people in the streets of their cities either.

3. For all the whining about "political correctness" this is it in its purest form
And it tends to further the idea that they are all in it together and we are the ones who are getting fucked.

That's why many of us find somebody like Alan Grayson so refreshing. The other day, when asked by Ed Schultz about how bush may have reacted to the killing of bin Laden, Grayson responded by saying bush was probably drunk on his ass and didn't even know what had happened.

That's also why Obama got such a positive response to his remarks about Donald Trump at the correspondents dinner.

6. Here's a link but I have to apologize for getting your hopes up
I guess I remembered how I interpreted it, not what Grayson actually said.

Anyway, go to the link. What he said is still pretty funny.

8. I recommended this, because I agree. Though I have noticed that in the last
6 months or so the euphemisms have slowed down a bit and a little more straight talk is rearing its welcome head.
