Man jumps to death off world's tallest tower in Dubai
Source: Reuters

A man threw himself off the world's tallest building in Dubai, its developer said, plummeting to his death in the first suicide from Burj Khalifa tower.

The man, believed to be in his twenties and of South Asian background, jumped from the 147th floor of the 828-meter (2,717 feet) skyscraper and landed on a terrace on the 108th floor, local daily The National reported, but those details were not confirmed by the building's developer.

1. He did not jump out for enough so he only dropped about 400 feet.
I am sure the next guy will climb higher to make a more spectacular fall.

3. Sometimes a person really NEEDS time off.
The man may have worked at a company inside the 160-storey building, the paper said, adding that police said statements showed a holiday he had requested was turned down.

Dubai leads the world in the use of debt slaves to maintain their society. Their city in the desert wouldn't be possible if it weren't for these poor people.

They are promised huge salaries, then upon arrival, Their pay is cut to nothing andthey are told they have to pay off their travel expenses with interest. And until they pay that interest, they have to stay.

there are debt slaves by the thousands living in Dubai with no way to get out from under the pressure of slave driving owners who hold their lives by a thread.

this poor human, who worked in the building (did not state what his job was) probably was one of the many debt slaves driven to suicide with no other alternative. He was probably not given a day off because the debt slave owners thought he would skip town.

Dubai is such a wonderful nation. :sarcasm:
