Heard on today's news: US has new weapon in War on Terror
DC all news WTOP had this. The new weapon is the now cemented trust and cooperation between the military and intelligence communities. This, they said, can only grow as Panetta goes to SecDef and Petrayus goes to CIA.

I'm completely unsurprised at this framing. I do not believe WTOP wrote the story; I think someone in the government did.

1. WTOP might as well have a direct feed from the GOP and the MIC
Almost every commercial break has some ad from the MIC.

Their traffic and weather reporting is handy though.

2. At their old home of 1500 AM, they operate "Federal News Radio"

DC is a company town and they're the company news organ.
