Approval rating for Gov. Christie dips among N.J. voters, poll shows
Chris Christie and New Jersey: the more we get to know him the more we learn to despise him. And based on his outright incompetence, utter ignorance, smarmy arrogance, abject corruption, and abysmal "performance" thus far, rightly so.

Approval rating for Gov. Christie dips among N.J. voters, poll shows

By Bloomberg News

TRENTON — Gov. Chris Christie’s ratings turned increasingly negative this month as voters giving him low job-performance scores climbed to the highest proportion since he took office in January 2010, according to a new survey.

Christie, a first-term Republican, is doing a fair or poor job according to 60 percent of voters queried, up from 55 percent last month, according to a PublicMind poll released today by Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison.

While 40 percent held a “favorable” opinion of the 48- year-old governor, down from 47 percent in April, 45 percent had an “unfavorable” view of him, up from 41 percent last month and the highest since he took office, the poll shows.

“May may be good for flowers, but it’s not so good for the governor,” Peter Woolley, director of the university’s PublicMind polling institute, said in a statement. “May is budget tensions in Trenton, budget battles in towns and budget disappointments in school districts.”

Now if only that would translate to Monmouth County, who took a sharp right turn in 2009.

3. Really
Christie has been an unmitigated disaster from day one and there is no hope for improvement ever. He's driven by a corrupt agenda based on lies and broken promises.

6. Hard to believe, isn't it?
Christie did have Rove in his corner and probably still does. While still US Attorney Christie discussed his run for governor in clear violation of the Hatch Act. Surprise, nothing happened.

9. They lost their property tax rebate under Corzine?
Christie promised not to end property tax rebates during the campaign then immediately ended them once elected. Christie, not Corzine.

11. Corzine suspended the property tax rebate for those making more than (I think) $75,000
He explained it well at a Democratic event - there were very sharp cuts in spending in the 2008 and 2009 budgets. Giving this up for people above the limit and a millionaire's tax were needed to prevent deeper cuts.

I live in one of the more affluent counties and it affected many people.

Corzine's suspension was why Christie said he would not take away property tax rebates.

You are correct that Christie then ended them for everyone.

8. 47-41 favorable to 40-45 unfavorable is a bit more than a "dip"
I realize the subject line is quoting the story, but a "dip" would be something less than a swing from +6 to -5, which is 11 points. That's more of a "plummet" than a "dip." And what are this choad's prospects for recovering any of his popularity? From what I can see, he's actively trying to piss off as many people as humanly possible.
