London Speech - Be Assured, Medicare Cuts Are Coming

Did you see Obama's speech this a.m.? One portion was on the economic challenges of both nations and their obligations to take care of people BUT how they need to make sure that the productivity of those working is not eaten up by the other half (I have paraphrased all this--it was done in much subtler language referring to tough decisions and the like). This is the umpteenth hint dropped over the last few weeks during these budget "negotiations". I make a prediction:

The Repukes desperately need to get out of the Ryan budget Meidcare deathtrap; and Obama will help them. Dems will propose cuts starting with current seniors. Repukes then can yell to Grandma, "see, we wouldn't have touched a gray hair on your head but just those coming up in 10 years". Our winning issue will be gone and the Repubs will take over power in both houses. I honestly think Obama is much more comfortable working with them and getting rid of the annoying Dems. (There has been no love for liberals in this administration). It's his variation of Clinton selling the middle class down the sewer with trade agreements. The liberal talking heads are going to explode---but no one will be listening because it's summertime. There is NO WAY this administration is going to stand firm and tell the repukes they can't touch Medicare at all. We will end up with a "Medicare in name only" abortion just like the healthcare bill written for the insurance companies.
