ROFLMAO !!! - ‘Oh My God, It’s Coming!’
Apparently the Third Rail of Politics is back, and boy is it MAD !!!

GOP vows to improve Medicare message
By Molly K. Hooper and Russell Berman - TheHill
05/26/11 05:55 AM ET

<snip>

...

But behind the scenes, several sources reported grumbling.

One source familiar with the internal discussions over the Ryan budget plan described members as frustrated that their leadership failed to prepare them for the outrage they have heard from constituents in their districts over the Medicare changes.

“Members know that you don’t piss off senior citizens, and they know that this was handled badly, that there was no messaging, that Ryan’s not making his case and they are all looking down the road thinking, ‘Oh my God, it’s coming,’ ” the source said.

A separate GOP lawmaker, who faces a tough reelection race, told The Hill that there’s been talk of revisiting the Ryan Medicare plan. “How serious it is … don’t know,” the lawmaker said.

But a GOP official involved in the discussions told The Hill that the House Republican leadership absolutely cannot revisit the Ryan Medicare plan “or the Tea Party will kill them.”

10. This proves that rank and file
Baggers have no say so in their own party because those polled overwhelmingly favor leaving medicare alone. Stands to reason since it isn't grass roots anyway, never was.

2. I think it's a political maneuver

to Try to get us to "forget" by Nov 2012, personally.

This "political catastrophe" needs something magnificently awesome (like a "leaked story" about scattering republicans) in hopes all this might blow over by Nov 2012.
I think it's political strategy to try to reduce the collateral damage with the electorate.
I am probably wrong...but they gotta do something to distract us away from their "Kill Medicare" votes in both house and senate...and fast.

Until they start giving up EVERYTHING that party has amassed in 30 years.

That includes Reagan era tax cuts, as well as Bush era tax cuts, as well as putting the marginal tax rate to pre-Reagan numbers.

Includes the following:

Full funding of mental health institutions - order all Republicans and teabaggers to be institutionalized IMMEDIATELY.

Universal single-payer health care enacted. Insurance companies can focus on fucking up other things, but a human life, they cannot fuck up and be pro-life.

Marijuana fully legalized, and taxed the same as cigarettes and alcohol.

Full funding of education system - hell, make it free for any Americans to attend college.

Removal of ALL funding to the MIC - it's past time that the beast start looking like Callista Flockhart, and remain there. No more than 1% of the entire budget may be dedicated to defense, and even for that, it's the DEFENSE of the country, not the empire building, intimdiation, etc.

Removal of Social Security earnings cap. COLA increases by double, and remains a mandatory 5% increased ADJUSTED for price costs, if it goes up, so does COLA. $1,200 is simply not enough to live on a monthly basis.

Living wages. CEOs cannot earn 10% higher than the next highest paid worker.

Open and fair public election funding. _NO PRIVATE Citizen United shredded, shot, burned, cemented, buried, declared a toxic waste, and declared an hostile law, and order the arrest of the Citizen United a-holes involved in this terrible decision, including the corrupt justices of the USSC.

How hard is that to ask for?

Just by taking away the GOP pork and applying it to all, then we'd have a peaceful country, with NO idealogical conflicts, and people satisfied with their lives.

If the dems lose they're too stupid to be elected.

Send Rya on a 50 state tour - yeah that's the ticket. Keep talking Paulie. You've been endorsed by the devil himself.

16. Medicare has always been a fudge used to avoid giving the public what it wants:
Cheap, single-payer, and effective health care. The Congress hated it when it was passed, and they hate it now.

if they can almost manage to artificially imbibe him with a personality on video, they'll do whatever they can to save their tea bagged souls from being swept away like so many ants off a turd in 2012
