Paul Ryan’s Plan To Increase Poverty For Seniors And Increase Bonuses For Insurance CEO’s
Ryan’s solution – let seniors pay for standard health insurance like the rest of us. To address ridiculously expensive premiums, he says “when providers are forced to compete for patients’ business, they will look to lower the costs and increase the quality of their services…” Since when? United Healthcare & Kaiser Permanente don’t lower their costs – in fact they increase premiums every year.

The average plan is upwards of $5000 per year for one person. Someone earning $80k per year would have trouble fitting that into the budget, much less the average senior (over 65 years of age) whose annual income is about $22,000. Forcing seniors over 65 to pay outlandish premiums for the same fee-for-service system they get using Medicare makes no sense. It will only increase poverty in that demographic, and add to even more record profits for Kaiser and Aetna, and skyrocketing bonuses to their CEO’s.

1. Nah. Those seniors will just die quicker.........
And until they do die, they'll add to the bottom lines of the rich insurance industry fatcats by transferring tax dollars to the capitalist exploiters. It's a win/win.

For the exploiters.

2. Ryan and Republicans hate the old and the poor
They love money.

And if old people weren't 'smart enough' to 'save for their needs' Republicans think they desrve no help, even if same elderly were PAYING for Medicare.

5. ONE major health problem would take care of ANY
savings a working class senior might have.

They Republican Medicare "reform" plan is a way to kill off seniors quicker.

4. Insurance companies don't want to insure sick old people.
They won't compete for their business because they don't want their business. They want customers who pay premiums but rarely make claims. If you're 35 and have never been sick a day in your life, they're happy to take your money, but if you're 75 with arthritis and heart trouble, they don't want you because you'll inevitably cost them more than they can get out of you - even with Ryan's stingy "premium support."

6. Bill Clinton and Dick Cheney are walking on Hallowed Ground
But they don't mind desecration if Paul Ryan’s footprints are there.
