In my eyes that guy is the real hero.

Where is the support for him?

1. That's been my main complaint about Assange
I'm actually proud that he finally turned himself into authorities. It may actually get the main stream media to pay attention to what he's releasing. I got pissed with everyone calling Assange a hero when it was Bradley Manning that took the risks to get the information.

Up until a couple of weeks ago, he was no better than any other internet diva that got famous for doing nothing himself.

2. they aren't paying attention to the information. especially when our government is
threatening everyone who even looks at the stuff. this is bs. and you are right.... the leaker should be getting support too. you know, when cheney leaked the name of a covert cia agent it was no big deal and get over it. now it's different.

4. Fahreed Zakariah gave the story attention in his Time Magazine column
He said that the "cables" reveal that the US State Department is pretty wise. The cables did NOT reveal that there was some kind of Pentagon Papers like horror going on, either.

3. Because he was in the military and had access to top secret documents...
Which he revealed. Top Secret means just what it implies.
