Golfing with the enemy:
So Obama has a golf date soon with Boehner and the governor of Ohio. Why? Do you think he truly understands that the GOP is out to get rid of him in 2012, no matter what it takes, including destroying the country and the rest of us, to do it? I don't think he does. He still labors under the delusion that in the end they will be reasonable and will do the right thing by the country and us. I think he's just plain wrong. What do you think?

1. Boehner sometimes makes statements that make him sound reasonable... then....
the conservatives jump all over him and make him reverse himself.

I expect a couple of those after 4-5 hours of Pres. Obama out debating him on every issue.

3. I think Obama needed to invite an outside the admin Dem to go as well
I know Biden is the fourth, but Obama needs to hear some opinions that dont reinforce his already fiscally conservative opinions, to help counter the Republicans he tends to already agree with.

Biden wont give him that.

5. Give me a good ol' Nixon hater any day
Truman hated Republicans. LBJ beat up on them every way he could. Carter had nothing to do with them. It should speak volumes that Bubba Clinton and now Obama want to make nice. Repubs are still like Nixon, full of dirty tricks, and legal is anything you can get away with.

The people most formative in shaping my political outlook were Nixon haters from the time he first ran for Congress. I still remember the party they threw on 8/9/74. I think they would be quite disappointed in Obama, I sure am.
