Edited on Wed Dec-15-10 08:28 AM by unhappycamper
unhappycamper note: Since the ‘Pentagon’ (DoD? Gannett?) has ‘requested’ that I only post one paragraph from articles on Army Times, and Airforce Times, To keep in that same (new) tradition, I will also do the same for for articles on Navy Times, Marine Corps Times, stripes.com and military.com.
To read the article in the military's own words, you will need to click the link.

Read all about Fair Use here. It sure is beginning to smell like fascism.

unhappycamper summary of this article: One fucking percent and this putz is against it.

Senate proposes $10B defense budget cut
By Rick Maze - Staff writer
Posted : Tuesday Dec 14, 2010 21:14:24 EST

Sen. John McCain of Arizona, ranking Republican on the Senate Armed Services Committee, said Tuesday night that he opposed the consolidated bill. McCain said he wants a 45-day appropriations bill for the federal government rather than passing a single, massive bill thrown together in the waning days of the 111th Congress. A 45-day will would let the 112th Congress, where Republicans will control the House and have more votes in the Senate, shape government funding.
