Hijab-Wearing ‘Flash Mob’ Invades RightOnline
MINNEAPOLIS -- A group of around ten women in Muslim headscarves crashed the RightOnline conference for about ten minutes Saturday, protesting what they said was an incident targeting Muslim women Thursday night.

The event was the latest spark kicked up by the proximity of Netroots Nation and RightOnline. The two conferences are blocks apart -- RightOnline is being held in a hotel many Netrootsers are staying in -- and interaction between the progressives at Netroots and the conservatives at RightOnline has been inevitable.

A spokesperson for the group of women told TPM they weren't sure of the identity of the man responsible for the Thursday incident -- when two hijab-wearing women were followed by a man with a cell phone camera who reportedly asked them why they were dressed the way they were "in America" -- but rumors that the incident involved an employee of conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart were rampant at Netroots.

4. I just found it a bit interesting, no big deal

It's just that there's been a bit of bizarre news about Dan Choi lately.
First Choi, at NetRoots Nation, was rude to that bi-sexual Obama supporter (the one Choi tore up that flyer and tossed it at him) - that was caught on tape.
A little while before reading the TPM article linked to up in the OP, in a video in DU Political Videos I had watched Choi shake hands with Andrew Breitbart and he asked him for an autographed copy of his book.
And then while reading the TPM article I noticed that Choi's hanging out with Aravosis the anti-Obama blogger.

It just all seems like a bit of interesting news regarding him in the past couple of days, that's all.

Hope that answers your question.

6. It's not rude to reject someone who does not support equal rights, as does that bi-sexual Obama
supporter.

http://pushingrope.blogspot.com/2011/06/dan-choi-at-netroots-nation.html

Lt. Dan Choi ripped up an Obama For America (OFA) flyer this afternoon during a panel at Netroots Nation when he was confronted by an Obama volunteer who attempted to explain away the President's opposition to same-sex marriage:

NICK (Obama volunteer): I can't say I'm for marriage equality, but as a bisexual man, I would take a bullet for both of you.

CHOI: You say you're not for marriage equality?

NICK: I can't, no as a....

CHOI: Did you not understand? Here! I believe that I'm an equal citizen.

NICK: understand that, but Obama hasn't gone officially on record for it...

CHOI: Then, don't tell me that I'm a bad person, go tell him that he should believe in my full equality and then report back.

NICK: Civil unions?

7. We can agree to disagree :)
I watched the exchange and I found Choi's actions and tone towards the man rude.
If you did not then that is fine, you have a right to your own opinion as much as I do.

Have a great Sunday.
