Random Acts Of Kindness
Saturday morning I was driving back home to Pennsylvania from Chicago after attending my son's graduation from Great Lakes Navy boot camp Friday. When I got to the Skyway toll plaza there was only one cash lane open. I saw it just in time and got in line behind about a dozen cars. Some guy came a couple minutes later and didn't see it in time and missed the line. There were only a couple cars behind me, so I let him go ahead of me. When I got up to the tollbooth the lady asked me if I knew the guy in the car in front of me. When I said "no", she said that he had paid my toll and told her to tell me to "have a nice day."

5. doesn't that just make your day better? i think your random act of kindness toward him
by letting him in front of you led to his random act of kindness. I tend to find when someone does that for me it makes me want to pay it forward. Kudos.

6. Just occurred to me this is another example of
How technologies that provide convenience can reduce our ability to make these human connections.

If there were only one Fast Pass (the rfid devices that allow you to just drive through a toll) lane open the person would not have been able to return your favor by telling the toll to pay for the next car.
