Supreme Court blocks huge sex bias lawsuit by women at Wal-Mart, will limit other big suits
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Monday blocked a massive sex discrimination lawsuit against Wal-Mart on behalf of female employees in a decision that makes it harder to mount large-scale bias claims against the nation’s biggest companies.

The justices all agreed that the lawsuit against Wal-Mart Stores Inc. could not proceed as a class action in its current form, reversing a decision by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. By a 5-4 vote along ideological lines, the court said there were too many women in too many jobs at Wal-Mart to wrap into one lawsuit.

1. Too big to be sued.
If the discrimination is too widespread, forget about any collective action to sanction it.

After all, law is only supposed to benefit the rich.

3. I never patronize Walmart...
There a many alternatives. I understand that their m.o. is to drive everyone else out of business and some people have no practical alternative. I just wish they could be driven out of business themselves.

5. Wal-Mart
I think SCOTUS will give a fair justice about this.Reports indicate the United States Supreme Court has ruled unanimously in support of Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. in a sex bias suit. The 1.6 million claims against the corporation would have amounted to the largest sex discrimination lawsuit in United States legal history. Claimants who wish to further pursue charges should do so separately. I found this here: http://www.newsytype.com/7904-walmart-gender-bias-suit-dropped/">Gender bias suit against Wal-Mart dropped by Supreme Court.
