And as if Keith's new version of Countdown wasn't good enough all by itself
I hope it has not gone unnoticed that the time-slot Keith took Does Not conflict with Rachel. Keith from 8:00pm until 9:00, Rachel from 9:00pm until 10. I do not think this happened by accident and I do not think it happened because of a fear of competition by anyone on either network. I see it as a show of respect by one Progressive to another's talent and a better way of getting out truthful reporting and commentary. Even though they are now on different networks they do not compete with one another, they compliment one another.

A very good thing for the Progressive voice happened last night. We should all be very thankful and make use of it. As Keith said, if not us, then who?

3. So is this show available online?
Even a day later? If not, why not, I wonder.

7. Explanation here:
From: http://current.com/s/faq.htm#podcasts

Will I be able to access podcasts of the show? If so, where can I get them?

Certain Countdown clips will be available through podcasts with some of our digital partners including iTunes, xfinitytv.com, Hulu and YouTube, but unfortunately, full episodes will not be available for download because our agreements with our cable and satellite distributors do not allow us to do so. In order to get the full viewing experience of Keith’s new show, we encourage you to watch the channel via your cable or satellite provider. If your provider doesn’t carry Current, go here to request Keith today, so you can watch his show in full on Current TV.

You can see some segments online at: http://current.com/shows/countdown/

9. Yes it IS! Here's the link.
http://ready-tv.com/?p=109

I have to say though, that it wasn''t easy to find! I had almost given up, when 2 radio hosts said it was available through itunes as a podcast. So I downloaded itunes and the Olberman podcast link, but when I posted it on DU for anyone else who didn't have Current on their cable and wanted to watch Keith again. Some great DUer answered my post with that link.

I haven't checked in th last few days, but I culdn't find the link to Current on Google, BING, or ay other search I did. I even sent my question to Keith's email there, and directly to Current asking for an online link and never got an answer.

Olberman's show is 63 minutes and will overlap with Rachel's show.

5. It's been reported that KO's new Countdown...
actually runs from 8PM to 9:03PM ET. If so, his closing remarks would step on Rachel's opening. Unfortunately, my cable doesn't carry Current TV, so if I want to watch KO, I have to go online, where my 1.5 Mbps DSL would struggle to keep up with the stream.

6. Yea, but he's in Lawrence O'Donnell's time slot.
Not sure that's something to be happy about.

11. It could be a lot worse.
I've got nothing against O'Donnell, but his presentation (like Ed's) is a little to brisk for me sometimes. Besides, I get awfully tired of him pointing out his glorious career up on the hill and the very special insight it gives to him and his like.

15. I doubt it -
The only way that would happen is if she gets fired from MSNBC - why would she go from a network with a large network penetration to a network with very little? Especially since I doubt Current could afford many higher profile anchors yet.

Honestly, I'd rather not have pundits on Current, anyway. We don't need a liberal television network - that'd be just as bad as Fox. What we need is a network that actually reports the *news* - like a BBC - and not just sensationalistic junk.

18. if forced to choose I would watch Rachel live and Keith as a rerun

and I don't think I am the only one.

It is reasonable to assume Keith and friends know this.
