NATO in Libya: Confused Coalition of the Unwilling and Unable, by Marc Ginsburg
Much as I detest this illegal sham of a deceptive imperialist resource thievery, I also don't want our and NATOs military ability to be disgraced to the point that other opportunists may cause trouble.

The world needs less war, and it certainly needs less candy-assed, lazy, sloppy wars-on-the cheap; those simply prolong the fighting and hurt more of the innocent.

Here's an interesting article by our former Ambassador to Morroco that pretty much shows the folly of this middle-of-the-road bungling:

Just today, Italy called for a suspension of the air campaign to permit the delivery of humanitarian aid to Libya's civilians who confront an increasingly dire humanitarian situation.

How ironic, since UN Resolution 1973 authorized the use of all means necessary to protect Libya's civilians, and lo and behold, the over-extended and over-timed NATO offensive appears to be having the unintended consequence of exacerbating the very humanitarian crisis it was intended to relieve if the Italian foreign minister's assertion is accurate.

Second, the White House is dithering and has largely abandoned its misdirected initial enthusiasm for the project, and just does not want to step up the level of its military involvement as the Administration entraps itself in a domestic Congressional vs. Executive branch quarrel over war powers. The Pentagon brass have made it clear they have no stomach for the Libyan enterprise, much less to step in refill a NATO vacuum when NATO is not uppermost in the minds of military commanders dealing with Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, etc.

Huffington Post

War--and this IS war--is serious business. One owes it to everyone--especially those endlessly referred-to innocent civilians--to get it over quickly, instead of doing a low-impact cheapfest that doesn't muss up our hair (or really qualify as war, since we're not getting hurt) and drags on with attrition that hurts the whole society in the crosshairs. This is a shameful affair from stem to stern: deceitful pretexts, illegal initiation, shrieking emotional propaganda, backhanded efforts and pure blithering ineptitude. Guess I just don't understand 3-D genius chess.

2. The Libya Adventure is incomprehensible unless one goes under the covers. And who wants the trouble
