I want to see Republicans in pain and discomfort.
I want a leader willing to keep them in session through Christmas and the New Year. I don't care if the corporate Democrats want to get home for Christmas. They should have done their job before now. Pass it or get ready to spend Christmas in Washington. But that is too much to ask from our compromising leaders, I suppose?

I want to see the Republicans cry and whine about having to spend time away from their families. If they are going to win anyway, at least make them pay a small price.

1. They're the ones who delayed everything. Let them pay for it.

3. Exactly!
This would not be physical pain for them. It would be emotional pain. Make their asses suffer. That is the type of leader I want to see leading the Party.

2. Republicans will whine and cry and call the Democrats names and the Dems will capitulate
Same story, different day

4. Because many Democrats want to get out of town quickly also.
But, many of them voted with the Repubs also and deserve to pay a price.

5. I want to see them either change to progressives or dead and gone.
There's no middle ground.

6. Republicans have already started with their "Democrats are anti-Christian meme"
They,Jon Kyl in particular is already playing the anti-Christian card...Democrats are ONLY doing this because they hate Christians...Any bets on how quickly Democrats buckle under?

7. Rachel said yesterday that the "I wanna go home" is the only leverage the Dems have on
repigs in the Congress anymore. The Dems set the agenda and the repigs can either go home and concede their vote, or stay and suffer.

8. Really?
That's the most important thing?

I don't know if that doesn't come off as being just like them.

That being said, I don't care where Orangeman spends Christmas.

They should have thought of that when they were blocking everything during the year. Nobody said it was the "most important thing"? Are you taking the side of the Republicans??
