Will they ultimately fail too?

5. Their business assets are electronic bits backed by the full faith and credit of the United States

and if the United States credit goes belly up, maybe they do too? And since they facilitate investments that depend on that, most of their work falls in the toilet as well...

Could be they are too big to fail and fail anyway.
