Protection

As far as I know, Senators get protection all the time, along with the President and Speaker of the House
Reps do not get protection......is that correct....does anyone know??

1. I can't really say for sure. I remember meeting Christopher Shays at

the train station where he was handing out literature and also at the Norwalk Oyster Festival. Don't remember any security other than some aides.

2. reps do not 'get' security...they can hire it, but it's not provided by govt.

I'm afraid that the days of no security are over. Politicians will most likely stop doing town halls outdoors now.

It's so sad to live in this climate of hear and hate.

4. Joe Biden when a Senator rode the train to work almost

every day. I never was aware he had protection.

5. Debbie Wasserman on MTP this morning said she coordinates security

@ her Town Halls because it's not just her safety but her aides and constituents. She uses local law enforcement. (I'm paraphrasing of course).
