Rep Steve King (Wacko-IA) Says Obama Will Be Impeached If Government Defaults
As Republican refusal to negotiate on the debt ceiling pushes the country ever closer to the brink of default, one Iowa congressman sees the impending financial collapse as cause for impeaching President Obama.

This morning, Rep. Steve King (R-IA) sent out a tweet imploring followers to “STOP talking about default. <...> Obama would be impeached if he blocked debt payments.”

King has apparently forgotten why the nation is on the brink of default in the first place: Republican hostage-taking. During President Bush’s tenure, GOP leaders voted to raise the debt ceiling 19 times — by a total of $4 trillion — without demanding draconian cuts to the social safety net in return, and 130 current House and Senate Republicans have voted to raise the debt ceiling under Bush. In fact, the entire debate right now ignores the fact that Bush’s policies added over three times the amount of debt than have Obama’s policies.

2. Do it you skeevy shit
For some reason the pukes seem to ignore the fact that 7 out of 10 people put the blame for this entire "crisis" right on their teabag loving heads.

4. Its the right-wingers who are blocking things
raising the debt ceiling could have been as simple as a one page bill.

its these republicans gumming up the works who need to be impeached .

5. All the Republicans had to do is raise taxes on the hedge fund managers
and take away a lot of tax deals that corporations and very rich people receive.

Is that so hard?

Haven't Republicans noticed that you really can't squeeze blood from a turnip?

Maybe we need to default so that Republicans have to actually eat a few turnips and return to the reality in which the rest of us live.

If Obama is impeached, Americans will (correctly) think that Republicans are bad sports and just can't bear losing elections.

And it is true. Republicans are very bad sports.

6. Republicans are delusional, some more than others
There are a number of Republicans (mostly Tea Party, I think although I know one Jeffersonian Republican who feels this way) who simply feels the best thing that can happen is hit the debt limit. Their logic (I know logic and Tea Party is an oxymoron) but they know the 14th amendment states debt must be paid, therefore Obama will be forced to pay certain things first, then use what money is left, if any to pay for the other things in other words, forced cuts. Bonds and such get paid first, Social Security second, Medicare next, I am sure the military is in the line up maybe that's second, but those pesky little things like FDA, EPA, Transportation, CDC, and the like simply close. Its like you lose your job and you are forced to live only on your spouse's paycheck, you would pay the house note 1st, power bill 2nd, water 3rd, but cable, internet, and other niceties must be given up. The problem with this logic is there may not be enough money to cover the necessities and one persons niceties is another's necessities.
