Because if so, it is a massive #FAIL If not, then just STFU, Larry.

1. Yes. But you're right, he's not very funny.

2. He should not joke. He's not good at it.
If he wants jokes, he should get comedians on like Bill Maker, Stephanie Miller or Liz Winstead to do it instead like the other hosts do.

4. If that was him trying to be funny, well, that was just painful to watch.
Like the time he subbed for Keith and did a Special Comment that was akin to reading a bedtime story to a child. He needs to stay away from sarcasm/cynicism and leave it to the professionals (like half of DU who could have pulled that off better)

5. I think he just doesn't quite get Colbert.
Can't say I always get Colbert either.

7. Un-recced for the lack of any real supporting information.
How about actually telling us what he said.

8. He tried to call out Colbert by acting like Colbert (sarcasm) and it fell WAY flat

11. Thank you. That helps me understand a bit better what happened.
I'll check him out at 11:00 when he is on again! I have found that occasionally they will do something that just falls flat. Remember Olbermann and his whole Michael Jackson puppet theatre with Michael Mustow? nuff said.
