Beck: Obama wants to use ‘race riots’ to ‘take this country down’

During a conversation Thursday about who he’d vote for in a contest between former Sen. Rick Santorum and Rep. Michele Bachmann, right-wing radio host Glenn Beck pronounced that President Barack Obama has decided he wants to use race riots to take down the country.

“The next president needs to prepare to be Abraham Lincoln,” Beck said. “The next president has to be trustworthy to give the power back. The next president has to be willing to fall on his sword. The next president needs to be willing to sacrifice his life, because the choices this next president is going to have to face is going to be awful. I firmly believe that race riots are on the way. They are being encouraged.

“This administration… They will take this country down. If it looks like they are losing, the uber-left, they will take it down. If I can’t have it, no one will. They know it’s only a matter of time. You can’t allow this country to nurse itself back to any kind of health. This is their chance for fundamental transformation. This is it. They’ve waited 100 years and the uber-left will take it down on the way out.”

It’s not the first time, nor will it be the last, that Beck has sought to use paranoid visions of racial hatred to scare his listeners into believing his conspiracy theories. He’s previously said that President Obama hates white CEOs, wants to pay blacks reparations and would ultimately lead the U.S. into a period of white slavery through communism
