I could end every conflict this nation is involved in within 3 weeks if I were President, he's had 3 years and one is about as it was (though now we say its not a war anymore) and the other has grown by leaps and bounds. Oh, and we aren't really at war in two other countries that were not part of the Bush plan, we're just killing people in them.

17. This country has been in war, thinking of war or engaging in imperialism in

some other country and the like my entire life. Now, the MIC is making really huge profits off of war. The MIC lobbyists pound day after day for weapons development, etc. and lots of corps. are making big bucks off implements of war, rebuilding after wars, being prepared for war, replacing the military as contractors and a sundry of things.

This, has become a war country. We have a consistent pattern of this. As approximately 5% of the worlds' population, we have created our share of death and destruction around the globe. Now, we want to arm space, and have also tested potential weapons with massive speeds. Often, it leaves me wondering WTF. And somehow in many circles in the US if you are not for death and destruction you're unpatriotic.

IMO it's pretty staggering. What we see today is pretty much business as usual for the US, and I find it pretty sad. While professing peace I often think we are creating conflicts and unrest.

I'm not saying the US is the worst, I'm just saying we need a paradigm change. It seems we are always having a war against something in this country.

Also, we've been at war about 10 years now. Is the US military that incompetent, or is someone making big bucks off of these wars. I've convinced it is the latter. War = big profits for someone.

Additionally, in the current conflicts, I've heard it said only about 1% of the country is affected by the current conflicts in terms of military service, casualties and the like. In essence, about 99% of Americans share no skin in these wars, it is out of sight, out of mind. And many citizens are totally lethargic when it comes to understanding what is going on IMO.
