"Matt Taibbi Exposes How SEC Shredded Thousands of Investigations" Have you watched this?? You MUST!
Matt Taibbi on Democracy NOW with Amy Goodman....you have got to listen to what the SEC has done! Video is at the link below.

An explosive new report in Rolling Stone magazine exposes how the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission destroyed records of thousands of investigations, whitewashing the files of some of the nation’s largest banks and hedge funds, including AIG, Wells Fargo, Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sachs, Bank of America and top Wall Street broker Bernard Madoff. Last week, Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley of Iowa said an agency whistleblower had sent him a letter detailing the unlawful destruction of records detailing more than 9,000 information investigations. We speak with Matt Taibbi, the political reporter for Rolling Stone magazine who broke this story in his latest article, "Is the SEC Covering Up Wall Street Crimes?"

2. I heard this on Democracy Now yesterday. It should be no surprise since Wall St insiders run SEC
which is further proof that ''career bureaucrat'' is a dirty word precisely because if it's their career, they might actually try to do it right.

Which big business wouldn't like.

3. Worthless drivel. Taibbi needs to do some old-fashioned muckraking
Name names! Uncover some crime like the great Harry Mark....polis (spelling futile) did.

Then Taibbi deserves respect.

11. I missed the memo.
Are we supposed to hate Matt Taibbi now too? Because he said something bad about the Dear Leader?

Have you ever read anything by Taibbi? His Jefferson County story? His Goldmann-Sachs story? He names plenty of names.

It's pretty sad when you start shitting on one of our best progressive reporters because he's telling the truth about Obama.

5. So how do we force an investigation?
Who do we haver to get a large number of people to write to?

All this stuff going on with banks and congress doing nothing for their pay except try to make Obama look bad.

The supreme court seems to be bought.

The leaders of corporations getting more of the benefit of one vote for one person due to the
misappropriation of funds to support repunblican candidates without an equal contribution to the choice of
the rank and file.

The increasing spread between employee / CEO salaries.

Where do we go to start investigations for this stuff????

I see these things reported on TV everyday and no one seems to be doing anything about any of it.

What's the problem here?????

10. It's a really good investigative report.
And you wonder who in the Justice Department is going to be asked to be the one who looks into this so then they can look away from it.
