5. I love how he leaves the RW sputtering but unable to say but so much....
in retaliation. He is, after all, still a son of Reagan--even if they choose to believe the non-biologic son, Michael, to be the "true son".

30. "He's such a disappointment to his father" is their usual refrain
Trying to paint their profound political disagreements as some sort of belated adolescent rebellion.

15. And being Ronald Reagan's son makes it that much better! Their idol's son
is speaking the truth about a war criminal who should be in fucking jail. It must make their blood boil.

I still can't believe Obama won't investigate the war criminals. THEY ADMIT THEY'RE WAR CRIMINALS! How can he not do the right thing and have them investigated, arrested, tried at the Hague and sent to prison? :(

16. How about Ron Reagan for POTUS?
It would be so much fun shoving a liberal Reagan down the throats of the fascists. Oh, the irony. With Obama's man-crush on Rons' father, and the whole Repub party being practically gay over him, nothing would be sweeter than to beat them with his liberal son.

I like Ron, a lot. He has human compassion and empathy, he communicates well, he has pretty good name recognition, and he has honed his intellect against the right's policies every day of his life.

to wake America from its slumber and finally make the course correction from the wrong turn we took in 1980? The son could undo the mistakes of the father. Perfect in so many ways.

Another Obama failing.

Not just on principle of upholding the law, but also a huge tactical blunder as it would have kept repukes on their heels after the election

He said, "Oh, That Dick.", in the same way his father used to say "Here we go again."

I also love the way he endorses the need for government, directly contradicting his father.

at letting Repukes hang themselves and then sticking in the shiv with such subtlety they don't even know they have been utterly destroyed. Love him. Great interviewer, thoughtful commentator and he just seems like a helluva nice guy.

He can speak to die-hard conservatives with authority and conviction.

If they won't listen to him, they won't listen to anyone.

34. That's all well and good
but it is settled that the Democratic Party will not even attempt to bring the war criminals to justice. We've been looking ahead for years now. Most people who watch msnbc know he's a war criminal already. He should be a convicted war criminal, or at the very least, the charges against Cheney should be common public knowledge. So Ron Reagan calls Dick Cheney a war criminal on msnbc to what end?

38. Is that why Ron is not back today??
for calling Cheney a "war criminal"? That's getting into Cenk Ungyur territory. However, Keith Olberman may be looking for another fair and honest voice, mostly liberal, over at Current, TV?

39. We'll know if Chris Hayes isn't back in for O'Donnell tonight
Hayes, filling in for Lawrence O'Donnell, said he found the entire thing distasteful and offensive. After playing a clip of Cheney saying he has "no regrets" about using waterboarding on detainees, Hayes expressed his disgust.

"What's so troubling is the fact that he has managed to escape not only legal sanction for advocating and overseeing the implementation of the war crime that is torture, but that he has appeared to manage to escape social sanction as well," Hayes said. "Everyone is now going to treat him as just another memoirist with a book to sell...what would someone in power have to do to put themselves outside the bounds of polite society?"

Hayes then brought Greenwald on. Not surprisingly, Greenwald was equally outraged. He said that Cheney was guilty of "among the most serious and egregious crimes committed over the last decade...and yet we...treat him like a celebrity and reward him for it."

Hayes asked Greenwald how much he thought the Obama administration's firm policy of "looking forward" when it came to the Bush administration had contributed to Cheney's current ease. Greenwald said he thought it was "easily the biggest factor," and that Obama "has continued this evisceration of the rule of law for political elites at the same time that ordinary Americans are imprisoned by the same government...at rates greater than any country in the entire world."
